Seafood and plantain. (Must try!!!!)

A few days ago, I was with my friend at the grocery store and we where trying to figure out what to make for dinner. I saw some shrimps, scallops and immediately wanted something with seafood. I took all the ingredients home and started playing around in my kitchen as per usual. i had this bright idea to make something with plantains maybe like a refined ‘gizdodo’ This was the result. It was sooooo good, I made it a second time just to get the measurements right for this post. Let me know what you think if you do try it.

Serves 3

2 pounds shrimps
1 pound scallops
1/2 cup white wine
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon garlic mashed
Sprinkle of parsley
Sprinkle of crushed red peppers(optional)
Salt and black pepper to taste
2 ripe plantains, fried.

Clean and de-vein shrimps and set aside. In a pan add butter and garlic, sautée for 2 minutes. Add white wine and allow to sautée for another 2 minutes. Add shrimps and scallops and cook on each side for 1-3 minutes depending on size. Add salt, crushed red pepper (for a little heat), black pepper and parsley; stir. Serve on top fried plantains.

Hope you do try it!! It was awesome and so simple!!! It takes less than 10 minutes if your shrimps are already cleaned.
