Allow me to introduce; Epicurean living

Can you tell I am VERY excited??? *screams, twirls, jumps up and down*

epicurean living, nigerian cook books

A few years ago Michelle Bombchelle (Nigerian blogger used to live in ATL moved back..still sorta blogs) asked me why I had not yet complied a few of my favorite recipes into a pdf for easy download. I promised her I would but as you know, life gets in the way of these things and well we are here now. I started working on this book in June 2012. I revamped recipes, re-tested them over and over again. Re-photographed because I had FINALLY learned how to use my camera and researched the process of writing a book or better yet a cookbook.  It has not been an easy process. I have had to remove some recipes that need more work, change layouts, add more and do a whole lot of restrategizing.

However it has been the most fun and fulfilling project I have ever had to do. Doing almost everything myself just proved to me that I can really do anything I set my mind to and it is an awesome feeling! Whether it was cooking the recipes over and over again. Speaking to my group of recipe testers. Asking my friends for their opinions. My dad calling to say Olohita this is GREAT, taking the pictures over and over till I got one I liked. learning to plate food to look professional. Learning basic design skills to make this book look how I want it to etc. it has been an amazing experience that I would never trade for anything else.

Let me introduce you to Epicurean Living : Flavors of Nigeria.

The pages would look like so.

There are 5 sections with 5 or more recipes each which equals a total of 29 recipes.

Hope you enjoyed this sneak peek. Details with price and how to purchase would be available shortly as well as a release date.  Let me know what you think and have a fantastic weekend.

I am in the process of writing a complete (With all Nigerian recipes I can cook; 200 +) version that would be available in print probably next year. I am still trying to secure a publisher because the process of self-publishing is LONG! So if you have any contacts, please shoot me an email! xx!

P.s A huge thank you to everyone that leaves comments on this blog. I know how much of an extra step it takes and I am just so thankful that you feel like this website is worth it! Y’all rock!
