These perfect french crepes are amazing for valentines day breakfast.

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • melted butter for pan

Step 1 combine the eggs, water, milk, sugar, essence and flour in that order. Mix in a food processor until smooth. Allow to stand for at least one hour.
Step 2 In a pan, or crepe maker, add a pad of butter and let it melt over the entire surface. on medium heat.
Step 3 Using 1/4 cup at a time, pour the batter into the pan and using a circular motion of your hand, allow the batter to spread to the entire pan. Cook on each side for 2-3 minutes.
Step 4 Repeat the process till all the batter is done. Serve with fresh fruits, syrup or any filling you like. Crees can be savory or sweet. The power belongs to you. 😀

p,s sorry for the way the syrup looks in these images. it was -40 degrees that day and I needed to take the pictures in Natural light.. once the cold air hit the looked weird…sigh! lol

p.s.s If you want to share your Valentines day with us, we do accept awesome stories (that are pg 18) for a series we run annually! I look forward to hearing from you.

p.s.s.s Toronto readers, I might still have some dates for private dinners next week. 😀
